Should gross administrative misconduct disqualify a person from being a researcher?
I say yes. If a researcher in an administrative position knowingly and intentionally abuses their authority, they obviously lack the moral and ethical skills to function as an administrator. These are the critical skills necessary for conducting honest independent research.

Dew failed to act in the best interests of the University, and facilitated the cover-up of Tykwinski’s wrongdoing.
Hopper has also shown complete disregard for policy and process, and fabricated a grossly biased report.
Given how readily and willingly these faculty engaged in administrative misconduct, they cannot be trusted to conduct independent research. They are a disgrace to the academic community.
